NCQA Diabetes Physician Recognition Program(DPRP) - The UNC Internal Medicine Clinic, Family Medicine Clinic, Division of Endocrinology and five physicians in our community-based practices have been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance DPRP. NCQA, in partnership with the American Diabetes Association, developed the DPRP, to recognize physicians who have met standards demonstrating delivery of high-quality care to patients with diabetes. |

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) have received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses! Only 315 of the estimated 6,000 intensive care units in the United States have earned this award.
