Learning & Organizational Development

The mission of the Learning and Organizational Development Department is to provide strategies that promote a system-wide culture of excellence and high performance. The department uses assessment data, development tools, change interventions and learning opportunities to maximize leader and team effectiveness in achieving UNC Health Care’s mission, vision and goals.

Specifically, the Learning and Organizational Development Department can work with leaders and their teams to:

• Build high performing teams
• Improve communication and employee satisfaction
• Select and retain key talent
• Improve customer and patient satisfaction
• Plan and implement large-scale change
• Align resources to achieve identified goals
• Develop current and future leaders
• Enhance individual (non-clinical) skill and knowledge through learning/training opportunities
