Office Hours & After Hours Care

 

We offer an extended range of office hours to accomodate the needs of our patients.  Our office hours are:

 

  • Monday through Friday:
    8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday (acute care appointments only) 5 p.m. to 7p.m.
  • Friday evenings and Saturday mornings (pediatric acute care appointments only)
  • Friday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (call University Pediatrics at Highgate in Durham at 919-806-3335)
  • Saturdays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (call University Pediatrics at Highgate in Durham at 919-806-3335)

 

If a serious emergency occurs do not delay! Call 911 or proceed to the nearest Emergency Room.

For after hours coverage please call UNC Health Care's HealthLink at (888) 267-3675 where trained nurses will answer your questions or refer you to the provider on call if appropriate.  When our office is closed, registered nurses are available at HealthLink to help you with acute illness situations that cannot wait until the next day.  You will receive an individual nursing assessment based upon guidelines approved by your medical provider.  HealthLink will send a complete record of your call to our office.
