Welcome to the University of North Carolina Hospitals: UNC Carolina Air Care

UNC Carolina Air Care is proud to provide Critical Care Medical Transport for the citizens of North Carolina. To fulfill this mission we operate 2 helicopters 24 hours a day 7 days a week from 2 locations within the state. UNC Carolina Air Care also provides ground transport services. Our bases of air operation are located at Chatham Hospital in Siler City and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Our ground services are conducted from a location at RDU International Airport.

To serve the special needs or our Pediatric and Neonatal residents, UNC Carolina Air Care provides a dedicated pediatric / neonatal medical transport team. This team operates from the main base at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
