New and Improved Flexible Spending Accounts
Effective end of September, the Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) administration will move to a new platform and the FSA website will have an updated look and feel, providing enhanced online features and the ability to submit claims online. A letter will be mailed to participants highlighting the upcoming enhancements in August. Highlights for your information are noted below.

New HCFSA Debit Cards will be issued to all current NCFlex Convenience cardholders in September. Employees will receive two cards issued in their name and can request additional cards in their dependent’s name for an additional fee. DDCFSA expenses will no longer be eligible to be paid using
the NCFlex Convenience card, in order to keep in compliance of
not paying for services before they are rendered. |
Claims processing will be enhanced, the FSA web site will have the feature to view submitted claim documentation when a claim has been processed.
New claim form available mid September, which will have the new address and fax number to submit claims. If a participant uses an old claim form, the claim will be forwarded for processing.
FSA reimbursements will be direct deposit only.

Under the UNC System Voluntary 403(b) Retirement Program, eligible employees may elect to defer a portion of their compensation under the 403(b) Program to supplement their retirement savings.
